What is an Aluminum Longitudinal Star Extruded Finned Tube?
Aluminum Longitudinal Star Extruded Finned Tube is the core component of an air-temperature vaporizer. Made of rust-resistant aluminum alloy, it vaporizes cryogenic liquids such as liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) through heat exchange through aluminum alloy finned tubes. It operates by utilizing natural convection to heat the cryogenic liquid within the tubes, completely evaporating the liquid into gas.
Structural Features of Aluminum Longitudinal Star Extruded Finned Tube
Core Component: The star-shaped finned tubes utilize a “bridge” connection structure to enhance vaporization capacity. This eliminates the need for welding between fins, reduces internal stress, and results in a compact and uniform structure.
Material and Specifications: Commonly made of rust-resistant aluminum alloy, with outer diameters of φ160mm and φ200mm available. Large equipment typically uses φ200mm finned tubes.
Enhanced Heat Transfer: Increasing the number of fins (e.g., 8-fin or 12-fin) improves heat transfer efficiency and enables extremely fast defrosting.
Aluminum Longitudinal Star Extruded Finned Tube Applications
Aluminum Star Extruded Finned Tube is widely used in gas supply, industrial gas processing, and other fields. Compared to water-bath electric heating vaporizers, it offers significant energy savings, enhanced safety, and a long service life.
